Cheddarometer creates thousands of perfect cheese sarnies!

As fans of our handmade farmhouse cheddar will know, last week we launched www.cheddarometer.com following extensive research with scientists at Bristol University to uncover a formula to create your perfect cheese sandwich.

We are delighted to tell you that we have received a great response to Cheddarometer, with 6 pieces of national news coverage and a number of radio interviews that ran throughout the day on Friday 20th June. Since going live last week, Cheddarometer has received over 23,000 visits, a figure set to rise as more people log on to find out exactly how thick they need to slice their cheddar according to the fillings they most desire.

West Country Farmhouse Cheddar experiences global success

This year The World Cheese Awards saw the closest ever finish of its 20-year history. Tensions ran high in Dublin as over 90 experts from around the world were present to join a further 50 Irish judges, tasting an incredible 2400 cheeses from almost every cheese-making nation.

West Country success at British Cheese Awards

West Country Farmhouse Cheddar fans will be delighted to learn of the successes of the group at The British Cheese Awards, the annual celebration of the very best of the British Cheese industry. With a record-breaking 910 cheeses entered, the winners were decided by a panel of top industry experts including cheese buyers, journalists, chefs and food critics recognising quality across the board, in both artisan and commercial sectors.
