Brue Valley Farms

A farming family since the 16th century, the Clapps know a secret or two about how to turn the lush pastures of the Somerset Levels into award-winning West Country Farmhouse Cheddar.

Nestled in the heart of Somerset, a stone’s throw from Glastonbury Tor you will find Brue Valley where the Clapp family have farmed the land since 1538.

Four family members still have active roles on the farm - Bob, his brother Simon, son Rob & daughter Natalie.  Having evolved from Farmhouse Cheese making we now create Artisan Butter & Mozzarella with milk from our happy herd.  This is all supported by a small but dedicated team.

As a family we remain passionate about our heritage and we believe in maintaining the skills of the artisan dairy.
